A very warm welcome to our Year 4 class. This is an exciting year where children continue to grow as independent, confident learners, ready to take on new challenges and broaden their horizons.

In Year 4, pupils deepen their knowledge and skills across the curriculum, with a strong focus on reading, writing and mathematics, alongside engaging learning in science, history, geography, art, music, computing, languages and PE. This is also the year where children begin to master their times tables, building strong foundations for future mathematical success.

We encourage children to take greater responsibility for their learning, developing resilience, curiosity and a positive growth mindset. Lessons are creative, stimulating and designed to promote problem-solving, collaboration and independent thinking.

As well as academic progress, we value the personal and social development of every child. Year 4 is a time to build strong friendships, show kindness and respect and grow in confidence as part of our school community.

We are looking forward to a wonderful year of learning, exploration and achievement in Year 4!
