Emotional Literacy Support Assistants (ELSAs)

Our team of trained Emotional Literacy Support Assistants (ELSAs) play a vital role in supporting the emotional wellbeing of our children. ELSAs work closely with children who may be experiencing difficulties such as anxiety, low self-esteem, emotional regulation challenges, friendship issues, or family changes such as bereavement or separation. Through non-pressured, structured sessions, both one-to-one and in small groups, our ELSAs help children to better understand and manage their emotions, develop social skills, and build confidence in a calm and safe environment. We work in partnership with families, class teachers and, where needed, outside agencies, to ensure every child feels safe, valued and understood. Our aim is to equip children with the tools they need to thrive emotionally and socially, both in school and beyond.

Our ELSA team is:

Mrs. Lee – Emotional Literacy Support Lead

Miss. McKenna – Emotional Literacy Support Assistant
