Family Support
Family Support
We are proud to offer a wide range of support services through our dedicated Family and Community Lead, Mrs Cain, who works closely with families to ensure no one feels alone when facing life’s challenges.
Whether you need help with school uniforms, access to our on-site food bank, or signposting to external support agencies, our Family and Community Lead is here to listen, support, and guide without judgement. We offer a warm, confidential approach and pride ourselves on our strong, trusting relationships with all of our families.
Our support includes:
- Weekly coffee mornings for families to chat and access external support – keep an eye on Class Dojo for our weekly slot.
- Uniform assistance for families who need help sourcing school clothing
- Emergency food parcels through our school-run food bank
- Help accessing external services, such as housing advice, mental health support, and local charities
- One-to-one family support, offering a safe space to talk and work through challenges together
We also work closely with community organisations and local networks to ensure our families are connected to the right help at the right time.
If you would like to speak to Mrs Cain or find out more about the support available, please don’t hesitate to get in touch on the gate, on Class Dojo or via the office.
Family Hub at Ganney’s Meadow
We are very fortunate to have a local Family Hub based right next door to our school at the brilliant Ganney’s Meadow. The Family Hub offers a warm, welcoming space for parents, carers and children, providing support, advice and activities for families in our community.
The team at the Family Hub can help with:
- Parenting support and advice
- Health and wellbeing services
- Play sessions and activities for young children
- Guidance on childcare, early education and local services
We encourage all our families to make use of this fantastic resource. For more information, please pop in to the Family Hub at Ganney’s Meadow, or speak to a member of our school team who can help you connect with them.
Weekly Coffee Mornings
We are delighted to invite all parents and carers to our weekly coffee mornings, held each week in the school hall.
The day of the week changes most weeks so please keep an eye on Class Dojo.
Each week we have a different visitor from a local service to speak to our families.
Our coffee mornings are a relaxed and friendly space where families can pop in for a hot drink, meet other parents, and have a chat with staff. It’s a great opportunity to:
- Share ideas and experiences with other families
- Find out more about what’s happening in school
- Ask questions or seek support in an informal setting
Whether you can stay for the whole session or just drop in for a quick cuppa, you are always very welcome.
