Reception

A very warm welcome to our Reception class. Starting school is an exciting milestone in your child’s learning journey and we are delighted to share it with you.

In Reception, children learn through play, exploration and carefully planned experiences that spark curiosity and imagination. Our aim is to provide a happy, safe and stimulating environment where every child feels valued, confident and ready to learn.

We focus on building strong foundations in communication, language, early reading, writing and mathematics, while also nurturing creativity, independence and a love of learning. Outdoor learning, play with friends, developing emotional wellbeing and regulation and opportunities to discover the world around us are all central to our day.

Working in close partnership with families is very important to us. Together, we can ensure that your child’s first steps in school are positive, successful and filled with joy.
