Shakespeare Education Hub
Shakespeare Education Hub
We are proud to be the North West Hub for the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust’s national Shakespeare Education programme. As a hub school, we work in partnership with the Trust to bring the power, playfulness and richness of Shakespeare’s works to life for both pupils and educators across the region.
Throughout the academic year, we host a range of CPD events, workshops, and training sessions for teachers, focusing on creative and accessible approaches to teaching Shakespeare in primary classrooms. These sessions are led by expert practitioners and supported by the latest research and resources from the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust.
Our hub status also means that our children benefit from unique learning experiences – from engaging performance-led activities to exciting opportunities to work with professional actors, educators, producers, dancers and musicians. We are passionate about making Shakespeare’s stories, characters and themes meaningful and relevant for young learners and we are thrilled to support other schools in doing the same.
By leading this work across the North West, we are helping to inspire a lifelong love of language, literature and learning in the next generation.
If you are interested in the CPD offer or would like to find out more, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
